Here's to the Heroes: A Military Tribute by The Ten Tenors

Killed in action June 2009, the body of Staff Sergeant First
Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in
Peachtree City, Georgia, just south of Atlanta, on June 11,
2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the
procession to the funeral home in McDonough, Georgia.
A simple notice in the local papers indicated the road route
to be taken and the approximate time.

May 23, 2011 serving during Operation
Enduring Freedom
20, Garland, Texas; assigned to 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment,
3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks,
Hawaii; died May 23, in Kunar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered
when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device.
Also killed were Pvt. Thomas C. Allers, Pfc. William S. Blevins and
Staff Sgt. Kristofferson B. Lorenzo.

You can donate at
heromiles.org More than 540 million
miles have been donated by the airlines and travelers throughout
the USA, enough for over 22,600 round trip flights.
The men and women serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and
their families thank you.

The American Legion is the worlds largest veterans organization. The
American Legion supports and assists the present active duty military
personnel along with its commitment to all veterans. The American Legion was
instrumental in the creation of the Veterans Administration and is
universally recognized as the originator of the GI Bill of Rights. The
American Legion is constantly working to maintain the rights and benefits
earned by veterans through service to their country. Legionnaires are also
deeply involved with community activities ranging from hospital services and
blood drives to youth programs such as the Boy Scouts, American Legion
Baseball, scholarships, Junior Shooting Sports and the annual American
Legion Boys State and Boys Nation programs. |
