Look what a little thought and
effort can do!! I received the below email today, 15 November.
I thought I'd share it with you guys:
Dennis,
I was alerted to your "ALR Roadside Assistance
Program" by Charlie "007" Babcock, and thought it a great idea. So much
so, that I've added a "Members helping Members" section to the
members-only section of the National ALR Information Center Forum along
the same vein. It's a great concept for those traveling out of their own
area to be able to log in and collect contact info for those along their
route. Wow!
Please thank Carl and Ruben for such a great
idea for us all!
Ride Safe, Free, and OFTEN!

Hey folks,
Take a look at the below email I received. This
is about establishing an ALR Roadside Assistance
Program. This idea came from one of our Legion Riders. This
displays what type of people we have in our American Legion Riders
chapter!!! Read the email, and if you ever need help, give Carl a
call. If you want to participate,
send me an email and I'll add you to our list.
I'm proud to be a member of the Legion Riders!!!
Thanks Carl...great idea!!!
I have created a list of folks who have volunteered
their time and assets to help fellow Legion Riders. The list is password
protected. If you are a Legion Rider and want the password, please
send Ruben
an email or see him at the Post. We only want to share this info with
Legion Riders.
If you already have the password,

list.

Dennis,I was
talking with Ruben and he had a great idea of maybe putting some kind of
information page on the website. It would be a list of fellow riders that
have resources for others in case of a breakdown. All of us can put if we
have a trailer, truck or anything else that might help someone if they are
broken down somewhere and needed help or picked up. Kind of our own "ALR
Roadside Assistance Program". Kind of a neat name don't you think? haha.
It just came to me as I was typing. But if you can add it and
somehow come up with a way for the riders to add the info to it without
giving everyone access, that would be great. If you can add it, here are
my available assets:
- xxxxxxxxxxx
- Phone: xxxxxxxxxx
- xxxxxxxxxxx
Let me know what you think,
Thanks,
Carl Bell
