- What's it take to be a great Leader?
- Look at this!
-
- Ruben, the Legion Riders' Director, raised
$825.00. And all he had to do was to sacrifice his hair!
The Cancer Society, Locksforlove
(http://www.locksoflove.org),
Legion Color Guard and my dear American Legion Riders (biker group) will
all have part of the money that was raised from the cutting of his hair
(pony tail). Oh, it is not
going to get wasted (the hair) - he's donating it to "Locksforlove"
which make wigs for cancer victims.

- A Message from Ruben Aguirre
- Director, Legion Riders
- Post 593 Chapter
Hey ya'll, for those of you that were there (American
Legion) last night (Friday, 30 July) to witness the extremely sad event
that took place after a wonderful steak dinner I want to say THANK YOU
from the bottom of my (hair line) heart.
The Cancer Society, Locksforlove
(http://www.locksoflove.org),
Legion Color Guard and my dear American Legion Riders (biker group) will
all have part of the money that was raised from the cutting of my hair
(pony tail). Oh, it is not going to get wasted (my hair) - I am donating
it to "Locksforlove"
which makes wigs for cancer victims.
I do not know if I should say more than a thank you due
to the all these people who liked/love me or hated my guts and just wanted
to cut my hair, just kidding haahha.
Well it is done and we raised, now get
this..............$825 WOW, I think that is just tooooooooooo awesome. I
saw people there that I had not seen in months and one person flew in a
day early from Colorado just to take part in the event! Don't worry, I
stopped crying when I passed out last night and am doing fine. Will only
have to do counseling for a few months, hahah
Once again THANK YOU. See ya. For those that took
pictures of the thing I want copies okay.

Here is a group picture taken of our Riders. (11 bikes & 14 riders, 1 Aug
04) We went to D'hannis to eat lunch (good food) and stopped of at a few
other small towns in the hill country. We managed to put 255 miles of good
riding with really great people. Looking forward to more rides. |
